I got a free TV. This is what happened. I didn’t have a TV and I didn’t want to buy one; after all I live on a shoestring. My brother offered me a TV he didn’t need. This was good except my brother doesn’t live near me, not even in the same state! So I put the word out and asked around. The secretary of my swimming club offered to put a notice in the newsletter. Bingo! The same day the newsletter was emailed I received an offer of a TV. A club member had just got herself a smart TV and offered me her previous model. This solved both our problems – for her how to dispose of an unwanted TV while I got a free TV. For her part she was really happy to know where her TV was going and to someone who would appreciate it. Her Sony TV does all the things I need a TV to do and now I don’t need my brother to send over his. So ask around, people are only too happy to help out especially when they have something they no longer need.
