I won two free tickets to a film. I won the tickets by sending a return email and voila! A mailing list I subscribe to for people interested in film offered the free tickets so I knew the offer was authentic. I’m interested in film and joined the mailing list through making a couple of short 2 minute films. I’ve even won some prizes for my films. The ticket win was for a Polish film which suited me as I always learn something from films about another culture. I knew just the friend to invite to come along with me. My friend’s father was Polish and she has never been to Poland. Perfect! She was keen and last Sunday off we went for our free night out.
As the saying goes, you have to be in it to win it. Entering the competition for a chance to win tickets was so easy, so why not? The film was not only enjoyable, it was a new experience as I’ve not seen many Polish films before. And better still, it was free!
